Bunun Music: Pasibutbut (Song for Abundant Harvest of Millet)

Registration Purpose:

1. Artistic Quality: Solely based on Pasibutbut, the legacy is complete and skilled. As for the Gufeng Tribe’s Pasiputput, the tribal people sing it in harmony. The lead singer starts the song and the other people sing by following the key notes, with the song gradually rising to achieve perfect resonance. The people say their prayers for an abundant harvest by singing the Pasiputput.
2. Uniqueness: Pasiputput is found only the Isi bukun and Take banua communities of the Bunun. Each tribe in Zhuoxi Township has its very own Bunun music and Pasiputput. 
3. Local Characteristics: The Gufeng Tribe has restored and popularized the Pasiputput, which had not been sung for a while. Also, the Tribe introduced the song to all of the Bunun tribes in Zhuoxi Township, which deserves recognition. From the 1980s, the song has been showing the continuity of tradition.
