Gung Nya Steamed Bun Republic
Gung Nya means sweet potato in the Amis language. This steamed bun shop is run by community members together and they make use of organic, pesticide-free agricultural produce in the bun ingredients. Sweet potatoes were a food readily available in farming communities in earlier times. Due to their high fiber content and high nutritional value, they are one of the most nutritious foods available today.
Gung Nya Steamed Bun Republic holds to the principle of "safe to eat even for ourselves". Everything is handmade and sourdough yeast is used as a raising agent, there are no chemical additives.
