Former Fengtian Elementary School Kendo Training Center (The Assembly Hall of Fengli Elementary School)

I. Reasons for registration:
Fengli Elementary School used to be Fengian Elementary School of Hualien-gang Ting. The assembly hall inside the school is, in fact, a city hall constructed at the end of Japanese Colonial Period. The hall has enhanced brick walls and wood-framed roof, and is protected roughly well as it used to be. Though the hallways are constructed later, they have little impact on the original appearance of the architecture. The assembly hall is a proof of the immigrant history in Japanese Colonial Period.
II. Regulations of registration:
The registration is based on the Article 15 of The Cultural Heritage Preservation Act and the Article 4 of The Auxiliary Regulations of Reviewing the Registration and Abolishment of Historical Structures.
