後山‧山後故事館

A brief introduction of the facility:

“They say this is the place “behind the mountain”. However, to us, the “stories behind the mountain” are much more intriguing.”

 

The eastern part of Taiwan has rich natural and cultural resources, which in turn result in diversified and characteristic industries. The Department of Industrial Technology (MOEA) established the Eastern Taiwan Industrial Technology Service Center in 1999 to integrate the capabilities of cross-industry R&D and assist micro- or mini-companies in Eastern Taiwan in technological upgrading and transformation, while adding value to innovation. In 2014, the Industrial Development Bureau took a further step and established the Eastern Taiwan Featured Industry Creativity Base. The Stone & Resource Industry R&D Center was entrusted to manage the Base. Later, the Center began to use SBTMountain (Stories Behind the Mountain) as the Base’s brand to connect Eastern Taiwan’s aboriginal arts, everyday crafts, agribusinesses, and deep ocean water technology while collecting Eastern Taiwan’s exclusive industry stories, allowing more people to learn about its beauty.

 

SBTMountain integrates Eastern Taiwan’s unique resources and cultures as well as cultural creativity and industrial capabilities to create a platform that supports numerous dreams.
