The Former Residence of Guo Tzyy-Jiow

The residence is a wood-framed construction of early post-war period. It is an ancient Japanese weather-boarding architecture. Moreover, Master Guo Tzyy-Jiow, who was considered the father of music in Hualien, makes his music and residence valuable in terms of history and culture. His former residence shall be well-preserved and registered as a historic structure for the purpose to recognize his contributions to music and to highlight the importance of the artist in cultural heritage
