With a focus on rose stones, Hualien Rose Stone Art Gallery offers exhibitions and guided tour services. Hualien rose stones (rhodonite) are mainly distributed in Liwu Creek, Sanzhan Creek and Mugua Creek. The stone is named after its rosy color. In the early days, rose stones were valued for the redness and color variation. Nowadays, however, rose stones with special patterns that look like certain landscapes are more sought-after. A decoration with rose stones not only means good luck, but also improves the quality of life.
